Self Installation: Loosen ring slightly. Pull nipple through, adjust by gently squeezing the ring for a comfortable fit. Partner Installed: Moisten nipple. Place ring on end of nipple. Your nipples need to be erect so the shield has something to hold on to.  An ice cube or your lover's longue to make the nipple hard will help.  If when hard and erect, your nipple does not stand at least 1/8" tall, Nipple Shields will be unusually hard to get on or to wear. At this point you probably still have the Caresser open to large, thats good, you want it to fall off easily at first and as you both learn how to install and wear it you can adjust its fit to stay securely and give maximum stimulation. To tighten the Clit Caresser first TAKE IT OFF. Now hold the ends of the Caresser's two legs between your fingers and squeeze the closed end slightly together, this will tighten the caresser and keep the legs parallel. Do this in small adjustments as a little adjustment can make a big difference. At all times if it hurts, take it off and start over.
